Boro Rangers History

So far in our short history, Boro Rangers Football Club has proudly provided Middlesbrough Football Club Academy with *43* players who train and play for the Club. Furthermore, nearly half of our registered players currently train with Middlesbrough Football Club, Newcastle United Football Club, Sunderland Football Club and/or Leeds United Football Club's development centres. We feel that this is evidence that we are achieving in our aims and objectives.

2015/2016 was another extremely successful season for our Club. Congratulations went to our U12 Boys, U12 Girls Blues (NRTV), U11 Boys, U10 Whites, U9 Reds, U8 Reds, U8 Yellows, U7 Reds, U7 Whites and U7 Yellows for winning their respective division – and to our U12 Girls Reds (NRTV), U10 Blues, U8 Blues, U7 Blues and U7 Greens for finishing as runner up in theirs. Congratulations also went to our U12 Boys, U10 Blues, U9 Reds, U8 Yellows, U7 Reds and U7 Yellows for winning their respective TJFA cup – and to our U14, U11 Boys, U8 Whites and U7 Oranges for being finalists in theirs. Finally, Congratulations went to our U12 Boys and U12 Girls Blues for winning their respective NRCFA cup – and to our U16, U13 Boys and U12 Girls Reds for being finalists in theirs.

A special mention also went to our First team, who followed promotion and a North Riding County FA Saturday Challenge Cup win in their first ever season (2014/2015), with the Teesside League title and a North Riding County FA Saturday County Cup win in their second season (2015/2016).

Eve and Rachael Jackson - Middlesbrough Girls Centre of Excellence

Milly Crake, Lily Metcalfe, Evie Thompson and Isobel Doyle all signed for Middlesbrough Girls Centre of Excellence.

Grace Ede (U8 Girls) has signed a contract with Sunderland Girls Centre of Excellence, which takes our Club’s number of Girls Centre of Excellence graduates to 7.

Isobel McEwan, Maddie Myers and Francesca Ward all signed for Teesside Sport Regional Talent Club, whilst Amber Rodgers and Olivia Vollans both signed for York City FC Foundation Regional Talent Club – taking our Club’s number of Regional Talent Club graduates to 12.

2012 - 19

Saul Le-Poidevin was the first to ‘slip this net’ after our Celebration Evening in 2012, when he signed for Middlesbrough FC that same summer.

2013

Oliver Clennett and Josh Marshall (U9 Boys); Aidan Bridge, Oscar Fletcher, Joel Gibson and George McCormick (U8 Reds); and Tom Chambers, William Johnson and Ashley MacCarthy (U8 Blues) have all been offered contracts with Middlesbrough Football Club;

Harry Ord (U11) has been offered a contract with Sunderland Football Club, which takes our Club’s number of Academy graduates to 30

Last summer, Keelan Wright signed for Middlesbrough FC, Dylan Lewis signed for Newcastle United FC and Jay Salt signed for Hartlepool United FC

2014

Law McCabe, Leo Robinson, Charlie Thompson and Oliver Samuels (U8 Reds), and Campbell Darcy (U8 Blues) have all signed contracts with Middlesbrough Football Club;

Mackenzie Kirwan (U10 Boys) has signed a contract with Newcastle United Football Club, which takes our Club’s number of Boys Academy graduates to 39;

2015

Max Cairney, Lewis Dixon and Archie Neary (U8 Reds), Jay Johnson (U8 Whites), and Owen Burns (U10 Boys) have all signed contracts with Middlesbrough Football Club;

Frankie Whelan (U11 Boys) has signed a contract with Sunderland Football Club;

Liam Gardiner (U13) has signed a contract with Hartlepool United Football Club;

Harry Thompson (U15) has signed a contract with York City Football Club, which takes our Club’s number of Boys Academy graduates to 47.

2016

Harry Conyard, Dylan Sobey and Charlie Thornton (U8 Reds) have all signed contracts with Middlesbrough Football Club;

Connor Simpson (U16) and Charlie Twinn (U10 Blues) have signed a contract with Hartlepool United Football Club, which takes our Club’s number of Boys Academy graduates to 52.
